In that journey, The Gia Traditional Medicine and Oriental Medicine Production Company Limited (abbreviated as The Gia Oriental Medicine Company), Van Chan commune became a typical example of harmonious combination between tradition and modernity, creating high-tech Oriental medicine products, contributing to sustainable and scientific community health care.

The Gia Oriental Medicine Company, formerly known as The Gia Traditional Medicine Production Facility, operates in the field of manufacturing and trading traditional medicine, inheriting from the family's traditional medicine recipes. With respect for human health, understanding the value of herbs, with the desire to maintain and develop traditional medicine recipes, along with the quintessence of Vietnamese Traditional Medicine as well as grasping market demand, in April 2017, The Gia Oriental Medicine Company was established.

The company has invested in building a factory on an area of 2 hectares in Thac Hoa 3 residential group, Van Chan commune with 5 modern production lines, including extracts, food, cosmetics, functional foods and Oriental medicine. This methodical investment demonstrates the aspiration of The Gia Oriental Medicine Company in reaching out to the national market, moving towards conquering the national brand.

One of the important breakthroughs of The Gia Oriental Medicine Company is to position products from hawthorn fruit - a typical fruit in highland communes such as: Pung Luong, Tu Le... Accordingly, not only stopping at normal processing, the Company has developed many value-added products such as: Shan Thinh hawthorn tea, Quoc Co herbal oil, Quoc Co herbal spray...

All input materials are provided by local households through a chain linkage model, ensuring both quality and safety while creating stable income for the people. This is a way to demonstrate a sustainable development strategy linking production with social responsibility and environmental protection.

To date, the Company has had 5 products certified with 4-star OCOP, affirming its reputation and superior quality in the market. Not only focusing on product quality, The Gia Oriental Medicine Company is also flexible in its marketing strategy. At the end of October 2024, the Company launched a new product: DOCYA hawthorn juice and fruit jelly combining the typical flavor of the Northwest. Notably, The Gia Oriental Medicine Company has become the "Young Talent" Sponsor of the "HOZO Inspiration" contest - a major music event in Ho Chi Minh City.

Along with that, the Company has signed an exclusive distribution contract with Hai Ha Confectionery Company, bringing the product to spread strongly to the market of the Southern provinces, an area with large purchasing power and fierce competition.

With the philosophy of “Doing it right the first time is the best quality and most economical”, every step from selecting raw materials, production process, quality control, to reaching consumers is strictly controlled. The team of skilled employees, modern production line system, and the dedication of the leader have created products with their own identity, rich in humanity and high medicinal value.

Mr. Bui The Dung - Director of The Gia Oriental Medicine Factory shared: "We take quality as our top priority, constantly innovating to create good, safe products with their own identity".

The Company's goal is not only to become a business with quality products, but also to be responsible, aiming for green and sustainable development. In the context of increasingly serious climate change and environmental pollution, this is a strategic direction, contributing to building a green economy for the locality, as well as towards building a national brand. With The Gia Oriental Medicine Company, this journey is being carried out step by step: from investing in technology, ensuring product quality, to innovating market approaches, building reputation and creating trust among consumers.

Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao in Ho Chi Minh City shared: “I was surprised when a product made from hawthorn fruit, which I thought was only available in the mountains, was designed to be eye-catching and appeared at music events. DOCYA hawthorn juice and fruit jelly is not only delicious but also brings a feeling of closeness to nature.”

Building a national brand is a strategic step for businesses to affirm their position on the international economic map. For The Gia Oriental Medicine Company, this journey is being carried out step by step. Currently, the Company is gradually completing the criteria in the Vietnam National Brand program approved by the Government, so that it can officially participate in the review of this title.
