To Hien Thanh High School in Hac Thanh Ward has a total of 357 12th-grade students. In the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year, the school required subject teachers to develop review plans aligned with the 2018 General Education Program. In the second semester, the school continued to rebalance teacher resources and schedule review sessions to ensure students receive two review lessons per week for each exam subject.

The leaders of To Hien Thanh High School stated: “In addition to exam preparation time in class, the school's teachers always accompany, support, and answer students' questions and concerns during the exam preparation and practice sessions, both in person and online. Currently, the school is taking advantage of every free moment to organize exam preparation sessions to ensure that students have sufficient knowledge, skills, and confidence to enter the upcoming important exam.”

Despite financial constraints, schools encouraged teachers to demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, prioritizing the students' well-being and supporting them through the graduation exams. Many teachers voluntarily increased their teaching hours with the highest level of commitment.

Teacher Tao Quang Tung, a chemistry teacher at To Hien Thanh High School, said: “During the exam preparation process, I systematically reviewed the comprehensive knowledge for students from grades 10, 11, and especially the grade 12 curriculum, starting from the most basic knowledge so that they have a solid foundation. In the final push, I also focused on thoroughly reviewing key topics and practicing test-taking skills to help them get used to the pressure of exams.”

Nguyen Thi Thanh Lam, a 12th-grade student from To Hien Thanh High School, who plans to apply to Hanoi National University or Hanoi University, majoring in Chinese Language, said: “Besides studying at school, I always try to make the most of my time at home to practice exam questions and study online to prepare as best as possible for the exam. Before this important exam, I was quite worried, but with the encouragement and support from my teachers in my preparation, I feel much more confident.”

To prepare for the exam, schools in the mountainous areas of the province have also developed review plans early on, classifying students according to their abilities to provide appropriate support.

At Quan Hoa High School in Hoi Xuan commune, along with intensifying knowledge review, the school pays special attention to the living conditions and health of students during the exam season.

Ms. Cao Thi Minh, Vice Principal of Quan Hoa High School, said: “The school requires teachers to adjust the review time appropriately, avoiding teaching during peak hot weather. The school also prepares sufficient drinking water, electricity, and fans to ensure students have the best conditions for exam preparation. In addition, the school management regularly encourages teachers to stay in class, support and assist weak students and students from disadvantaged backgrounds so that they can focus on their studies and confidently enter the exam.”

In addition to reinforcing knowledge, schools and teachers also pay special attention to boosting students' morale. “Many students are under psychological pressure due to anxiety about exam results, compounded by the hot weather, which easily leads to fatigue. The teachers at our school always strive to create the most comfortable learning environment, encouraging and motivating students, and taking advantage of every review session to reinforce key knowledge so that students feel more confident when entering the exam,” said Mr. Le Van Minh, Principal of Quan Son High School, Quan Son commune.

The 2026 high school graduation exam will officially take place on June 11-12. This year, a total of 42,987 candidates across the province have registered to take the exam at 83 testing locations with a total of 1,875 examination rooms. Compared to the 2025 exam, the number of candidates has increased by 1,410, the number of examination rooms has increased by 68, and the number of testing locations has decreased by 2.

Along with preparing students for the exam, the education sector and localities in the province are closely coordinating with relevant departments and units to further improve preparations for the exam; paying attention to and creating favorable conditions for officials and teachers performing invigilation and examination duties, while also having specific and practical plans to support and assist disadvantaged candidates.
