A series of key projects are about to begin construction.
The projects to be launched include: the Chu Lai Truong Hai Automotive Mechanical Industrial Park Expansion Project; the resettlement area serving the North-South high-speed railway project in Dien Ban Bac ward; the high-end cultural, entertainment, commercial and service park (Da Nang Downtown); the Ba Na - Suoi Mo Eco-tourism and Urban Complex Project; the apartment project on land plots C1 and C2 in the Phu My An urban area; and the social housing project on land plots B4-1 and B4-2 in the Hoa Hiep 4 resettlement area. On this occasion, the city will also hold the groundbreaking ceremony for the multi-level ethnic boarding school in Tay Giang commune.
One of the prominent projects is Da Nang Downtown, invested by Asia Park Co., Ltd., with a total capital of nearly VND 79,790 billion and an area of over 769,000 m2 in Hoa Cuong ward. The project is envisioned as a high-tech commercial, service, and entertainment complex, including offices, a shopping mall, hotels, accommodation, restaurants , and spaces for international conferences and seminars. Many residents in the ward hope that upon completion, the project will attract more tourists to Da Nang, creating jobs and boosting the development of local service industries.
Another notable project is the Ba Na - Suoi Mo Eco-tourism and Urban Complex, with an investment of approximately 51,950 billion VND. The project aims to develop high-class resorts, entertainment, living, and working spaces with international-standard commercial and service areas, serving duty-free trade, tourism, logistics, and e-commerce.
Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Na commune, said that the project not only creates a new look for the northwestern outskirts but also opens up many job opportunities, promotes tourism, services, and trade; the locality will cooperate in land clearance and resettlement, ensuring progress and protecting the rights of the people.
The third major project is the Chu Lai Truong Hai Automotive Mechanical Industrial Park expansion, with a total investment of VND 1,433 billion and an area of over 114 hectares in Nui Thanh commune (Chu Lai Open Economic Zone), invested by Chu Lai Truong Hai Industrial Park and Urban Infrastructure Development Investment Company Limited. The project focuses on manufacturing, assembling, and processing components and spare parts, participating in the automotive production and export chain.
Expectations for new drivers of development.
The groundbreaking ceremony for key projects is a particularly important political, economic, and social event for the city, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd. It contributes to creating a vibrant atmosphere of emulation throughout the city, fostering confidence, aspirations for development, and a spirit of innovation and creativity among all segments of the population. It affirms the local government's strong commitment to achieving double-digit growth and aims for the successful organization of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
With a total non-budgetary capital of over 133,000 billion VND, this is the city's largest investment attraction in many years. According to Tran Thi Thanh Tam, Director of the Department of Finance, the projects will contribute to diversifying tourism products, upgrading service infrastructure, promoting international trade, and creating tens of thousands of jobs. The city prioritizes removing obstacles related to procedures, land, and connecting infrastructure to ensure smooth implementation.
According to the development plan for 2025-2030, Da Nang aims to become a high-quality tourism, trade, and service center of Central and Western Vietnam. Projects such as Ba Na - Suoi Mo, Da Nang Downtown, and the expanded Chu Lai Truong Hai Automotive Mechanical Industrial Park are strategic pieces in realizing this goal. Notably, the Ba Na - Suoi Mo project not only elevates the tourism brand but also creates an ecological and commercial urban area that harmoniously blends nature with modern amenities, extending the length of stay, increasing tourist spending, and attracting experts and investors.
With the determination of the government, the consensus of the people, and the potential of businesses, the series of projects about to be launched promise to become key drivers, enabling Da Nang to break through in the new phase.
