On the morning of April 4th, the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, in coordination with the Vietnam Water and Environment Association, organized a workshop titled "Green Transformation: A Driving Force for Sustainable Development in the North Central Region".
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang and other delegates attended the workshop.
Attendees included Comrade Le Duc Giang, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Chu Pham Ngoc Hien, Chairman of the Vietnam Water and Environment Association; representatives from relevant departments and agencies of provinces in the North Central region; leading experts in the field of environment; and pioneering businesses in green transformation.

In his opening remarks at the workshop, Mr. Chu Pham Ngoc Hien, Chairman of the Vietnam Water and Environment Association, stated: The North Central region has a strategic geographical location and rich potential for developing the marine economy , sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy. Green transformation will create a strong impetus to promote economic growth, improve the quality of life, and ensure sustainable development. The workshop aims to assess the current state of green transformation in the North Central region, the achievements made, as well as the difficulties and challenges faced by localities and businesses. It will also discuss policies and support mechanisms from the central and local governments to promote green transformation and circular economy development. Furthermore, the workshop will listen to practical experiences from businesses and pioneering models in green transformation to replicate and implement them more effectively.

At the workshop, experts discussed topics such as: Policy orientation on green transformation and sustainable development in Vietnam; Financial, technological, and human resource solutions for the green economy sector, with suggestions for the North Central region; Building a sustainable agricultural sector linked to digital transformation and green transformation in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2045 in Thanh Hoa province; Double-digit growth targets linked to industrial development in Thanh Hoa province; Technology in the circular economy model with agricultural waste; Developing green credit in agriculture and industry...

Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang emphasized: Green transformation is becoming an inevitable trend globally, especially in the context of increasing climate change and environmental pollution. The North Central region in general and Thanh Hoa province in particular are facing many challenges, but also have many opportunities for sustainable development based on green solutions and modern technologies.
