Working directly at the Glitter Foam Production Team of JSC Vietnam Production and Trading Company Limited (Dong Dang commune), Ms. Lang Thuy Len has been recognized as an outstanding worker for many consecutive years. When transferred to produce other products or work overtime to meet orders, she quickly adapted and ensured production progress. In addition, she also handles the company's medical work, diligently supporting and caring for the health of the workers. Ms. Len shared: "I consider the emulation movements as motivation to constantly learn and improve my skills to complete my work better. When I do well, my income improves, the company develops, and I also have more motivation to stay with the company for the long term."
Thanks to her efforts in participating in emulation movements, at the launching ceremony of the "Excellent Worker - High Productivity - Good Income" emulation movement in early June 2026, Ms. Len was one of five workers with effective initiatives and solutions in labor and production in 2025 who received a commendation from the Provincial Labor Union. From exemplary individuals like Ms. Len, emulation movements are increasingly spreading widely within enterprises and grassroots trade unions.
To ensure the movement truly goes in-depth, many grassroots trade unions have innovated their organizational methods to better align with production practices. Ms. Dang Thi Quynh Huong, Chairwoman of the Trade Union at Bao Long Co., Ltd., stated: "Every year, the grassroots trade union collaborates with the enterprise to launch numerous emulation movements, such as 'Excellent Workers, Creative Workers,' focusing on improving productivity, ensuring product quality, practicing tiết kiệm (saving/frugality), and ensuring occupational safety and hygiene. The emulation contents are concretized for each production department, linked to work targets, and evaluated monthly and quarterly. In addition, the trade union regularly promotes and encourages workers to register initiatives and technical improvements, promptly commending and rewarding individuals with outstanding achievements. As a result, the emulation movement has spread widely, and many company workers have been commended and rewarded by various levels and sectors."
The effectiveness of emulation movements is demonstrated by concrete results. In 2025, the Provincial Labor Union was awarded the Comprehensive Emulation Flag by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; many collectives and individuals received thematic commendations; and many trade union officials and members were praised and rewarded by the President, the General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial People's Committee, and various ministries and sectors. In the first six months of 2026, the Provincial Labor Union received a commendation from the General Confederation of Labor in the Northern mountainous and border provinces' emulation cluster; many collectives and individuals continued to be honored in patriotic emulation movements. Specifically during the 2026 Workers' Month, 24 outstanding individuals in labor and production were commended; 7 collectives and 12 individuals were exemplary in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style; and 6 exemplary workers who are Party members were honored.
In 2026, the Provincial Labor Union will continue to implement emulation movements, focusing on a special emulation campaign to celebrate the success of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Lang Son Trade Union. Building on the foundation of the "Excellent Worker, Creative Worker" movement, in the new term, trade unions at all levels will launch the "Excellent Worker - High Productivity - Good Income" movement, linking skill improvement and innovation with increased labor productivity, production and business efficiency, and improved income for workers.
Ms. Be Thi Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and Chairwoman of the Provincial Labor Union, stated: In the new phase, all levels of trade unions will continue to innovate the methods of organizing emulation movements, focusing on productivity, quality, and work efficiency as benchmarks; promoting digital transformation; encouraging union members and workers to study, improve skills, and develop initiatives to meet development requirements. Through this, the role of the trade union organization as a reliable support and partner for workers and businesses will be further affirmed.
Experience shows that when emulation movements are linked to production tasks and the rights of workers, they become a driving force for each worker to actively innovate, create, and improve labor productivity. This is also the foundation for building a modern workforce, contributing to the achievement of the province's socio-economic development goals.
