Japanese Yen exchange rate in the world
In the international market, the Japanese Yen remained stable in today's trading session. Currently, the exchange rate of 1 USD is 154.68 JPY, unchanged from the previous trading session.
This stability was largely due to positive factors in global markets. Tensions between Russia and the West eased after Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov pledged to reduce the risk of nuclear war, reducing demand for safe-haven assets such as the Japanese yen.
In addition, expectations of intervention from the Bank of Japan (BOJ) are also supportive factors for the Yen in the medium term. The BOJ may make policy adjustments if the Yen's depreciation pressure becomes serious.
Factors affecting and prospects of Japanese Yen exchange rate
Fed and BOJ interest rate policies: While the Fed is likely to cut interest rates in December, the Bank of Japan (BOJ) is still maintaining negative interest rates, which puts further pressure on the Yen.
Geopolitical tensions: Any changes in the international political situation, especially relations between Russia and the West, can directly affect the search for safe assets such as the Yen.
USD Movements: The Dollar Index (DXY) fell to 106.18 after losing 4 points in the previous session, providing a favorable opportunity for the Yen as the USD weakened.
Experts predict that the Japanese Yen will likely continue to fluctuate in the short term, with major fluctuations depending on BOJ decisions and the global financial situation.
