The workshop will clarify why ESG is being likened to a “green passport” that helps businesses access capital, expand markets and improve competitiveness. Experts will also guide how to build effective ESG reports, choose appropriate standard frameworks (GRI, SASB, TCFD…), and clearly distinguish between ESG – CSR – SDGs so that businesses understand correctly and do correctly.

Digital transformation is the launch pad for ESG strategy

The second session focused on digital transformation, not only in terms of operational digitalization but also as a foundation for integrating ESG into corporate structures.

Three prominent digital transformation directions will be shared, including: Workflow Automation to reduce errors and save resources. Customer data analysis to improve experience and customize services. Digital platforms integrating green finance, connecting with ESG credit and sustainable investment ecosystem.

Design Thinking and innovation, creating breakthroughs from available resources

In the third session, experts will introduce Design Thinking - an innovative approach that helps businesses understand the problem before building a solution. Common failures in the digital transformation process will be analyzed to draw out the core principle: no solution is suitable without starting from understanding users and the internal capacity of the business.

Innovative models will be illustrated through practical case studies such as QR code application in customer identification, digital building energy management, etc., helping businesses make feasible progress despite limited resources.

Green Finance – Capital Strategy for Sustainable Development

Closing the workshop series is an in-depth discussion on green finance, helping businesses grasp the role of green capital in the global context of promoting emission reduction and environmental protection.

Basic concepts such as green bonds, green credit, ESG investment funds, issuance processes, environmental impact assessment and carbon index measurement... will also be visually illustrated at the event.

The series of seminars not only stops at sharing knowledge but also acts as an open dialogue forum where businesses, banks, experts and management agencies discuss, remove barriers, and co-create solutions for each group of businesses according to specific industries and scales.

According to AIT Vietnam representative, the event is not only expected to help businesses update new management tools, but more importantly, to form a sustainable development mindset, improve access to capital, and enhance competitiveness in a global environment that increasingly emphasizes ESG standards and green technology.

Since 2011, when cooperating with IFC, VietinBank has gradually integrated ESG principles into its operations, governance and product design. Green financial solutions such as the VND5,000 billion Green Up preferential credit package or the Green Deposit product are not only proof of the Bank's commitment to sustainable development, but also open up opportunities to access green capital for the business community.

VietinBank also developed a Sustainable Finance Framework to provide specific guidelines for the funding and management of the Bank's sustainable development financing. VietinBank's Sustainable Finance Framework was assessed by an independent second party - Morningstar Sustainalytics as "credible and impactful" for sustainable development.

In addition, VietinBank is building a comprehensive ESG ecosystem, supporting businesses not only in terms of capital but also in consulting and technical solutions. The Bank is proud to be a pioneer in implementing green credit policies in line with the direction of the Government and the State Bank. VietinBank was also honored as a typical bank in green credit by the International Data Group IDG.
