Water from surrounding areas was also flowing into the Suoi Mang - Cay Ca canal with a large flow.

To ensure the safety of the project and proactively prevent and combat natural disasters, Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited estimates that the amount of water discharged to the downstream of Long Song River can reach 900 - 1,000 m³/s, depending on the development of rain and floods. Currently, the reservoir is regulating the discharge with a flow rate of 100 - 200 m³/s.

The People's Committee of Lien Huong commune has directed members of the Civil Defense Committee, the Executive Board of villages, cooperatives, and cooperative groups to widely announce on the radio so that people, boat owners, and vehicles passing through the discharge area can proactively take precautions, ensuring the safety of life and property, especially in the downstream area of ​​Long Song river.

In addition, to ensure the safety of people and property on both sides of the Long Song river basin, the People's Committee of Lien Huong commune requests the Executive Board of villages, cooperatives, cooperative groups and people to monitor and respond promptly during the time Long Song reservoir discharges floodwaters.

On the same day, the Song Luy Reservoir Management Board informed that due to heavy rains upstream, the amount of water flowing into the reservoir has increased sharply. The management board has adjusted the spillway discharge flow from 150 m³/s to 200 m³/s and may continue to increase to 250 m³/s if the rain continues.

Local authorities recommend that people closely monitor weather developments, limit travel through mountain slopes and streams, proactively reinforce houses, check drainage and move to safe high places when water levels rise rapidly.
