On the 4th day of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024, many tourists from all over the country flocked to worship and sightsee at But Pagoda, a pagoda with unique architecture in Hoang Truong commune, Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province.
According to Dan Tri reporter, the weather on the 4th was warm and sunny, the number of tourists coming here increased towards noon.
At the main temple area, many visitors come to burn incense, praying for luck and fortune in the new year.

In the grounds of But Pagoda, there is a shrine to the "whale god". Inside the temple, the management board displays a whale skeleton for visitors to see.
Small change is scattered by tourists all over the glass cabinet containing the whale skeleton. "No one forbids scattering small change when going to the temple, because this is the sincerity of tourists. But when the management board has arranged a donation box, it should be followed, not just scattering small change anywhere. If this action is not done properly, it will cause offense and lose the sacredness of the Buddhist place," said Ms. Nguyen Thi T., a tourist from Hau Loc district.
