The Le Quang Dao road is expected to open to traffic in December.

After nearly two years of construction, the extended Le Quang Dao road project connecting Nam Tu Liem district with Ha Dong ( Hanoi ) has taken shape and is expected to open to traffic in December 2024.

The project to build the extended Le Quang Dao road section from Thang Long Boulevard, Nam Tu Liem district to the boundary with Duong Noi urban area, Ha Dong district, Hanoi city, commenced in early 2023.

Machinery is being assembled for the construction of the Le Quang Dao road project.

The project spans 2.6km. It starts at the intersection of Le Quang Dao and Thang Long Boulevard and ends at Duong Noi Urban Area (Ha Dong District). The total investment is nearly 750 billion VND, including over 163 billion VND for land acquisition, with the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District as the investor.

After nearly two years of construction, reporters from Giao Thong Newspaper observed that many parts of the project site are still in disarray. The road surface structure is incomplete in the section from Sa Doi road to the end of the route.

Meanwhile, the section of Thang Long Boulevard intersecting with Dai Linh Street (Me Tri Ward) has been largely completed with the installation of lighting systems, asphalt paving, and sidewalk paving.

Representatives from the Nam Tu Liem District Investment and Construction Project Management Board stated that the contractors are committed to completing all related items and putting the project into use in December if weather conditions are favorable.

The contract for completing this project is scheduled for June 2025, therefore, contractors are focusing intensely on completing the project before this deadline.

Previously, the project was expected to be completed on the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10th), but the progress and quality of the work were greatly affected by heavy rain, resulting in the project falling behind schedule.

According to the design, the extended Le Quang Dao road will meet inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60 km/h. The typical road cross-section will be 40m wide, while the section connecting to Thang Long Boulevard (approximately 110m long) will have a cross-section width of 100m.
