Eximbank is the next bank to join the list of banks increasing interest rates in December, alongside other banks such as ABBANK, GPBank, Techcombank , VPBank, TPBank, and IVB. In its latest interest rate schedule, Eximbank adjusted upwards the interest rates for over-the-counter savings deposits across many terms, with the highest increase being approximately 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous month.

When customers deposit for a term of 1-5 months, the highest interest rate is 3.5%/year; if deposited for 6 months, the interest rate reaches 5.2%/year. When depositing at the counter, the highest interest rate applied by Eximbank is 5.8%/year for a term of 18 months.

According to reporters, several other banks have also launched various promotional programs and incentives, offering free airline tickets, cash, savings accounts, etc., to encourage customers to deposit savings.

Sacombank announced that from now until the end of 2024, it will be running a program to celebrate its 33rd anniversary with a total prize value of over 33 billion VND. The bank will be giving away nearly 6,000 business class air tickets from Bamboo Airways along with thousands of valuable shopping vouchers to eligible VIP individual and corporate customers.
