On October 26th, the Quantum of the Seas cruise ship, carrying over 2,800 passengers, docked at Phu My port, beginning its journey to explore Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

According to the itinerary, the majority of the tour group will participate in activities such as experiencing Vietnamese coffee culture, enjoying local cuisine, cycling through the countryside, and attending cooking classes. These activities, designed by Saigontourist Travel, are of high quality and cater to high-spending tourists from Europe, the US, and Australia.

A representative from Saigontourist Travel Agency – the company welcoming the ship – stated that Quantum of the Seas is one of the world's largest passenger ships, offering a travel experience integrated with modern technology.

Just one day earlier, the Celebrity Millennium cruise ship also brought more than 3,000 international tourists to Chan May port (Hue City, Thua Thien Hue province), beginning a tour of Central Vietnam's heritage sites from Hue and Da Nang to Hoi An.

The ship will continue its journey to Phu My port (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) on October 27th, expanding opportunities for tourists to explore Southern Vietnam with Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and the Southwestern provinces.

“With the Celebrity Millennium cruise ship, the highlight is its luxurious interior, restaurants, bars, theater, and duty-free shopping area, meeting standards far exceeding those of 5-star resorts. The attractive itineraries designed by local travel companies will contribute to attracting more international cruise ships in the future, affirming Vietnam's position on the regional maritime tourism map,” a representative of the cruise ship's host organization added.

Thus, in just three days, from October 25th to 27th, nearly 6,000 international tourists arrived from two 5-star cruise ships at Vietnamese ports and explored many attractive tourist destinations across the country. The arrival of numerous large international cruise ships will create momentum for the growth of cruise tourism in Vietnam in the final months of the year.

Selected as a destination on the itineraries of major international cruise ships, Vietnam is aiming to build a sustainable cruise tourism network for the future.

In particular, during the 2024-2025 cruise season, localities will continue to welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors, including many luxury cruise ships.
