According to Mr. Hoang Ngoc Linh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association, Ba Ria-Vung Tau tourism has entered the peak summer season since the beginning of June. Beach tourism centers have recorded a significant increase in the number of guests staying on weekdays. Hotels and resorts with the advantage of "fronting" the sea can have room occupancy rates of 60% or more. On weekends alone, the situation of "room shortage" has begun to appear, with the number of room reservations lasting until the end of August.

Ms. Dong Thi Thu Hong, in charge of Sales and Marketing of Emerald Ho Tram Resort, said that since mid-May, the number of guests booking rooms for the summer has started to increase. Currently, on weekends from June onwards, the resort is full of guests who have made deposits to reserve rooms, and weekdays are also very busy. In addition to family guests, the resort mainly welcomes group guests to stay, eat, and organize conferences (MICE) from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Dong Nai.

Many other hotels and resorts in the province such as Green, Imperial, Malibu, Fusion Suites Vung Tau, Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, Le Palmier Ho Tram... also recorded that the number of guests booking for the summer has reached 60-95% capacity, mainly domestic guests staying from 1 to 2 nights.

The tourism business sector commented that the expressway helps shorten travel time and upgraded national highways have removed traffic congestion, thereby attracting tourists from the West and Southeast to choose Ba Ria-Vung Tau. In addition, tourism infrastructure is increasingly synchronized and modern, beaches are always kept clean and beautiful. Many new sightseeing, entertainment, sightseeing, and check-in spots have been formed and spread throughout the province. In addition, many new tourism projects with large-scale investors, well-promoted combined with focused brand management and tourism image, will certainly create a driving force to attract tourists to Ba Ria-Vung Tau this summer.

Tourist Phan Thanh Thao (from Dong Thap) commented: “The face of Vung Tau tourism is changing rapidly, new and modern, making me very excited to explore . In particular, Bai Sau is now so different, open both on the shore and under the sea, with space for walking, strolling, and taking photos. Along the coast, there are also many ideal spaces for sightseeing, watching the sunrise, sunset, and feeling the slow pace of life”. Ms. Thao added: “From Dong Thap to Vung Tau now only takes nearly 5 hours, much faster than before. Before the end of summer, I will take my family back to relax again to discover many new things about Ba Ria-Vung Tau tourism”.

Tourism products are widely available throughout the province.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau has a coastline of over 300km, of which over 150km is flat beach with white sand. Therefore, along the entire coastal line, the main tourism product is relaxation at resorts and hotels that exploit the advantage of being close to the sea.

However, Ba Ria-Vung Tau has many other resources that have been “awakened” to become attractive tourism products. On the Long Hai - Phuoc Hai tourist route, agricultural production sites have been formed to serve tourists such as Phuoc Hoi Yam Cooperative, longan gardens, and coconut gardens. Minh Dam Base Area also attracts tourists with jogging and trekking through the forest.

In the Ho Tram - Binh Chau area, besides its strength as the "capital" of high-end beach resorts, there are also typical products such as health care from hot mineral sources at Minera Hot Springs Binh Chau, or experiencing the fresh nature at Binh Chau-Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve through walking and cycling activities through the forest, suitable for the trend of regenerating energy and balancing body-mind-spirit.

Neighboring areas such as Chau Duc district are also prominent for agricultural tourism, exploiting the values ​​of gardens, dams and rural life. Currently, the tourism community is concentrated along the Xuan Son-Suoi Rao-Son Binh route with destinations such as Dat Rong Dinh Gia Trang, Suoi Rao Eco, Suoi Rao Forest, Suoi Rao Ecolodge, or experiencing harvesting and making products from cocoa at OCA Viet Nhat (Quang Thanh commune). In Ba Ria city, suburban tourist destinations such as Tu Phuong That Thao, Eco Tan Hung offer spacious, fresh spaces with fields and gardens, suitable for local people to relax and eat.

Summer is also the turtle breeding season in Con Dao. Coming to Con Dao at this time, visitors have the opportunity to experience humane tourism products: watching turtles lay eggs, participating in rescue and releasing baby turtles into the sea at Con Dao National Park. In addition, activities such as trekking through the forest, diving to see corals associated with environmental protection awareness, sustainable ecosystems and visiting the special national monument - Con Dao Prison are also highlights not to be missed.
