This initiative not only helps people in disadvantaged areas access quality healthcare services but also contributes to spreading the spirit of sharing and responsibility for community health.

From early morning, a large number of people had gathered at the health station to receive free medical examinations, treatment, and medication.
Bringing healthcare services to people in disadvantaged areas.
While the early morning mist still lingered over the mountainous roads of Nghia Hanh commune, a team of 17 doctors, nurses, and technicians from Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital set off to carry out a medical examination and treatment program for the local people. Their baggage included not only expertise and responsibility but also a deep commitment to the patients.
This screening activity was organized by the Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital in coordination with the Nghia Hanh Commune People's Committee and the Tan Ky Health Center to respond to the province's large-scale campaign for universal health check-ups, aiming for 100% of the population to receive free screening at least once a year.

During a workday at Phu Son Health Station, nearly 300 people, mainly the elderly, those with chronic diseases, and beneficiaries of social policies, received general clinical examinations, blood pressure measurements, assessments of basic health indicators, and underwent several paraclinical techniques such as electrocardiograms and general ultrasounds.
In addition, doctors and medical staff screen for non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, sequelae of stroke, musculoskeletal disorders, and many other common illnesses.
In addition, doctors provide health education and counseling, guide people on proper nutrition and exercise, and perform some traditional medicine interventions on-site, helping people raise awareness and proactively take care of their own and their families' health.

Ms. Luong Thi Quy (75 years old, residing in Hung Thinh hamlet) emotionally shared: "Many elderly people in our mountainous region suffer from chronic diseases, but not everyone has the means to have regular health check-ups. Now, thanks to the doctors from Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital who traveled a long distance to our commune to examine and advise us so attentively, everyone is delighted. The program helps us understand our health better and raises our awareness of health care so we can live happily and healthily with our children and grandchildren."
Unable to hide his joy at being examined directly by provincial doctors right in his locality, Mr. Dang Van Thanh (71 years old, residing in Quyet Thang hamlet) said: "In mountainous areas, traveling to provincial hospitals is still difficult, especially for the elderly. Therefore, when we heard that a team of doctors was coming to provide free health check-ups right in our locality, everyone was happy."
The doctors provided thorough examinations, explained everything in detail, and guided us on how to properly care for our health. We hope there will be more meaningful programs like this so that people can receive more regular healthcare."

Sharing her thoughts on the program's significance, Dr. Le Thi Chung, Deputy Director of Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital, said that the activity contributes to improving the quality of healthcare for the people; early detection of risk factors and potential diseases; and raising community awareness of the principle of "prevention is better than cure".
At the same time, the program also promotes the role of traditional medicine combined with modern medicine in the examination, treatment, and prevention of diseases, aiming for comprehensive healthcare for the people.
"The program also demonstrates the hospital's social responsibility and spirit of community service. Through this examination, we will create electronic health records to manage people's health. In the future, the hospital will continue to coordinate with health stations and health centers in the province to conduct screening and regular health check-ups for the people," emphasized Dr. Le Thi Chung.

Activities in Nghia Hanh commune continue the community-oriented journey of Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital. From free medical examinations, medication distribution, and gift-giving programs for people in difficult circumstances to providing medical supplies and equipment to people in areas affected by natural disasters and floods, the hospital always stands alongside the people in community health care activities.
Alongside its professional duties, the hospital also maintains many humanitarian activities such as the "Soup of Love" program, which provides free porridge weekly, offers free haircuts and hair washing services, and mobilizes resources to help patients in particularly difficult circumstances.
Through this program, Nghe An Traditional Medicine Hospital hopes to spread the message that every citizen should proactively have regular health check-ups, detect diseases early, and raise awareness of health care to protect themselves, their families, and the community.
