(NLDO) - The national sand racing tournament opened on the morning of April 11 at Son Hai sand dune in Phuoc Dinh coastal commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province.

The competition attracted a large number of athletes with many modern vehicles to participate.

All-terrain vehicles enter the assembly area

Crowds of people came to watch the athletes compete.

Thousands of local people came to watch.

The tournament had 60 athletes from 24 off-road car clubs from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Binh Duong , and Dong Nai participating.

This tournament has 2 competition formats. Format 1 is for 4WD cars, Format 2 is for ATV/UTV off-road vehicles. The tournament takes place over 2 days, April 11 and 12.
