According to historical documents, in 1898, Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac (father of President Ho Chi Minh) was invited by Mr. Nguyen Si Do to come to his house to teach in Duong No village. The two brothers Nguyen Sinh Khiem and Nguyen Sinh Cung followed their father here. In his father's Chinese class in this house, Uncle Ho learned his first Chinese characters, laying the foundation for his Chinese studies.

After more than 10 years living in Duong No village, a peaceful, quiet village rich in cultural traditions, Nguyen Sinh Cung had the opportunity to integrate into the village community life, to be surrounded by the love, kindness and tolerance of the simple, loyal villagers; and to witness the hard-working life of the simple farmers.

Duong No village festival with the theme "Duong No - May journey on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of his birth" will be held in Duong No village.

The relic site of President Ho Chi Minh's childhood memorial house in Duong No village was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national historical and cultural relic in 1990 and ranked as a special national relic by the Prime Minister in 2020. At this relic site, there are also works bearing the mark of President Ho Chi Minh's childhood, such as: Ben Da, Duong No communal house, and Am Ba.

The relic site is currently being preserved, restored and promoted by the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City,educating the revolutionary tradition for the younger generations. Inside the Memorial House, there are still memorabilia associated with the period when he lived here. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City also collects and displays many contemporary artifacts and recreates the old scene inside the thatched house so that visitors can imagine the historical period associated with Uncle Ho's childhood.

Mr. Nguyen Van Trai - Chairman of Duong No Ward People's Committee said that in recent years, the local government has actively coordinated with Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City to preserve, protect and promote the value of historical relics associated with President Ho Chi Minh's childhood in Duong No village. Following the example and morality of President Ho Chi Minh, local people have strived to compete in labor production, taking care of economic development to build Duong No hometown to become more prosperous.

Dr. Phan Thanh Hai - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City said that during his childhood, President Ho Chi Minh and his family lived, studied and participated in patriotic activities in Hue. The Department of Culture and Sports has regularly directed the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City to organize exhibitions to promote the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh to the people. Strengthen digitalization, organize a QR code system to update heritage information, documents and artifacts at the exhibition house and relics.
