According to VGC , the next free games on the Epic Games Store have been revealed. The store will offer two games, The Evil Within and Eternal Threads, for free to PC players from October 19th to October 26th.
First released in 2014, The Evil Within was the debut game from Tango Gameworks, a Bethesda-owned studio founded by Shinji Mikami. It's a horror game about disappearances and serial murders. The main character is detective Sebastian Castellanos, and his team arrive at Beacon Hospital to investigate the mysterious force behind the events. Unexpectedly, Sebastian hears a loud noise and faints. From here, the mysterious events and gruesome story begin.

Regarding Eternal Threads, it's a single-player simulation and puzzle game with a thrilling storyline from Cosmonaut Studios, where players are tasked with saving a group of people and changing their fate in the past.
The Evil Inside and Eternal Threads will replace two other games, Blazing Sails and QUBE Ultimate Bundle , which are currently available for free on the Epic Game Store until October 19th.
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney stated in March that players would be able to experience more premium exclusive products from the Epic Games Store in the future. And in August, the company announced a new Epic Games Store exclusive program.
The new Epic First Run program will allow developers of all sizes to receive 100% of revenue if they agree to offer their game exclusively on the Epic Games Store for six months.
Last month, Epic announced plans to lay off approximately 830 employees, equivalent to 16% of the company's total workforce.
