Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen of Manchester United retaliated after learning that the Copenhagen coach had criticized Old Trafford for being less vibrant than Parken Stadium.

Ahead of the Champions League group stage clash between the two teams, Copenhagen coach Jacob Neestrup declared that Parken – his team's home stadium – is 100 times more passionate than Manchester United's Old Trafford. The 35-year-old coach said he made this assessment after his experience in the first leg on October 24th.

"You can't compare Old Trafford to Parken, because the level of tension on the pitch here is 100 times greater than what we had two weeks ago. That's a standard, in my opinion, a notch above the Premier League," Nestrup asserted.

In the subsequent Manchester United press conference, Eriksen was asked about his feelings regarding his compatriot Nestrup. But the Danish midfielder laughed and replied: "I've never played against Copenhagen there before, only with the national team. I admit the atmosphere when playing for the national team is very special, so I'm looking forward to their hosting. But I'm not sure if they can create a more theatrical atmosphere than Old Trafford."

Not only did Nestrup downplay the opponent's home advantage, but they also turned their attention to Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund, two Danish players currently playing for Man Utd. The Copenhagen coach said his team knew how to neutralize these two players.

In the first leg, Copenhagen played well and nearly earned a point. They lost 0-1 due to a single goal from center-back Harry Maguire, and a stoppage-time penalty save by Andre Onana against Jordan Larsson.

Before the second leg, some Copenhagen players claimed they had the upper hand against Man Utd playing at home. Eriksen responded once again: "That's their opinion. We have our own opinion. I know football is fun, but ultimately, the result is what matters. If they feel they have the upper hand, let them win first. But I believe Man Utd will go into the game with confidence and aiming for victory."
