In 2024, EVNICT was awarded by prestigious organizations: Sao Khue, Top 10 Outstanding Digital Technology Enterprises in Vietnam, Vietnam Digital Transformation Award 2024.
EVNICT's outstanding contribution to the overall success of Vietnam Electricity Group in 2024 is the safe and smooth operation of the private telecommunications system and information technology infrastructure, especially the technical support for the 500kV circuit 3 Pho Noi - Thanh Hoa - Quang Trach project.

Complete 100% of assigned targets
The Telecommunication and Information Technology Infrastructure Center under EVNICT is the unit assigned to directly deploy the safe and smooth operation of the private telecommunications system and IT infrastructure. By the end of November 2024, EVNICT had completed 100% of the efficiency targets assigned by the Group in the management/operation of the private telecommunications system and IT infrastructure. The telecommunications systems and IT infrastructure are always guaranteed to operate stably 24/24h.

The national operator has directed the segment, identified the cause and operated the recovery of 100% of the incidents within the prescribed time. As of November 15, 2024, the total number of incidents handled by the operator was 2,073 incidents, of which 332 incidents were at Power Plants/Transformer Stations within EVN and 1,741 incidents were at Power Plants/Transformer Stations outside EVN, meeting the efficiency criteria of incident rate, service stability and handling time as required by the Group.
The private telecommunications system is operated safely and stably, ensuring transmission channels for electricity production and business operations, making an important contribution to providing stable electricity for occasions such as Lunar New Year, Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, Victory Day April 30, International Labor Day May 1, National Day September 2. The work of natural disaster prevention and search and rescue has been closely directed by EVNICT leaders to ensure the private telecommunications system is operated safely throughout the rainy and stormy season. Information response and incident handling work is organized and implemented promptly, especially demonstrated in the response to storm No. 3 ( Yagi ). In 2024, for the first time, EVNICT participated in the Group-level private telecommunications incident response drill and was highly appreciated for its professionalism, compliance with regulations, coordination between units in EVN, as well as the skills of the department operating and operating the private telecommunications system.

In 2023, Vietnam Electricity Group issued Document No. 4187/EVN-VTCNTT, assigning EVNICT to temporarily operate and effectively exploit the Group's new North-South DWDM backbone transmission system, including 41 DWDM devices and 25 SDH devices, helping to reduce the load and solve the traffic congestion problem of the existing North-South SDH backbone transmission system. The transmission channel serving power production management has been fully and quickly provided (121 new transmission channels with a total capacity of 455 Mbps were provided). 05 more connections were added to the Corporations to share traffic and add backup directions, bringing the total number of inter-network connections to 207 connections.
Although the number of telecommunications systems, equipment and information technology infrastructure in 2024 has increased dramatically with the scale of 11 information technology infrastructure systems, 29 software systems and 6 security systems..., EVNICT has successfully completed the management, administration and operation of EVN's infrastructure system stably, services are provided continuously, no major errors occur affecting the services of EVN and EVNICT, service quality indicators all meet requirements.

Concentrate on "sharing the fire" of circuit 3
In the urgent atmosphere of the forces in the entire Vietnam Electricity Group implementing the 180-day and night campaign to complete the energization of circuit 3 under the direction of the Prime Minister, EVNICT has mobilized its forces to "share the fire" with special units with the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). EVNICT has sent many engineers to the line to participate in technical support, consulting on connection routes, supporting equipment connection, welding optical fibers, providing special transmission channels to connect line protection signals, SCADA/Hotline signals, Fault Recorder signals, Fault Location signals of 500kV circuit 3 Pho Noi - Thanh Hoa - Quang Trach... These are all applications with the highest technology currently applied to control, protection, automation of the power grid and 500kV transformer stations.
In the entire 500kV line above, there are 03 500kV transformer stations, namely 500kV Pho Noi, 500kV Thanh Hoa and 500kV Quang Trach, of which the 500kV Thanh Hoa station is the most difficult station because this is a completely newly built station, without optical transmission equipment, the implementation of the transmission channel connection to meet the requirements of the National Power System Control Center (now the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company Limited - NSMO) faces many challenges. Overcoming all difficulties and obstacles in technical conditions and physical conditions of the station under construction, EVNICT has proposed a connection solution on EVNICT's existing optical transmission system to ensure the provision of 15 transmission channels for timely connection and testing of protection signals and SCADA signals.
EVNICT Director - Mr. Nguyen Minh Khiem directly went to the Thanh Hoa 500kV station construction site to direct, twice a week at peak times, and sent the most elite forces from the Center for Telecommunications and Information Technology Infrastructure and the Company's Technical Department to support the connection, measurement and testing of transmission channels, and acceptance of transmission channels to meet the goal of energizing the Thanh Hoa 500kV Station on June 28, 2024.
At the 500kV Pho Noi and Quang Trach Stations, with the existing optical transmission system, EVNICT has met all requirements from EVNNPT and prioritized system resources for the 500kV circuit 3 line to meet the energization and inauguration time of the project on August 29, 2024.
This is a project applying the latest transmission technologies according to EVN's orientation, which are DWDM wavelength multiplexing technology with a speed of 100Gb/s and MPLS-TP technology. EVNICT has coordinated to support EVNNPT in carrying out the construction and configuration of the system declaration to ensure the safe and stable operation requirements for the 500kV line 3, Pho Noi - Quang Trach.
With its relentless efforts, EVNICT has been affirming its role in ensuring private telecommunications systems, information technology infrastructure, shared software, stable and safe information security to serve the operation, production and business of electricity of EVN.

In 2024, the information technology infrastructure system that EVN is assigning EVNICT to manage includes 15 systems (Lan, Wan, Internet, Email, Storage, Wifi, Video Conferencing, Display Screen, Datacenter, Server, VPN, AD, DNS, Virtualization and Security). In 2024, the information technology infrastructure systems have been operated stably and continuously throughout the year (system availability reached over 99.9998%) contributing significantly to the smooth operation of the Group's production and business activities. In particular, it has been safely operated, ensuring the quality of more than 1,000 video conferencing meetings and zoom meetings, 100% of user support requests for EVN agencies and units at building 11 Cua Bac were handled promptly and on schedule.
EVNICT has completed 100% of the targets assigned by the Group in the work of incident handling and operation of the private telecommunications system. The system is guaranteed to operate continuously and stably 24/24 hours, providing transmission channels for power transmission line protection systems, transmission channels for power system dispatching (Scada, Hotline) and data transmission channels of the Group. The stability and continuity of the private telecommunications service reaches over 99.99%. In 2024, there were 04 serious incidents (average incident handling time was 1.17 hours), 02 major incidents (average incident handling time was 1.37 hours) and 06 minor incidents. The incident rate and incident handling time both ensure the threshold allowed by the Group.
The national operating capacity meets EVN's requirements. 100% of SCADA/Hotline connection incidents for Transformer Stations and Power Plants are segmented, the cause is determined and the incident is restored within the prescribed time by EVNICT.
Perform maintenance, repair and technical management of the telecommunications system exclusively for 133/133 station locations and 508 transmission/PCM/switchboard/source devices. At the same time, regularly review the system and develop incident response plans, and be on duty during holidays and Tet.
