On the evening of April 21st, the NimoTV fanpage posted an announcement clarifying information regarding the termination of its partnership with the Refund Gaming group founded by streamer Độ Mixi. The post quickly garnered significant interaction due to the recent attention surrounding the event.
A heated debate erupted below the post between supporters of Độ Mixi and those defending the platform. Many demanded the deletion of the NimoTV app once their idol leaves.
"This decision was mutually agreed upon by both sides, based on each party's distinct development direction. There was no conflict or disagreement," the broadcasting platform announced, explaining the reason for ending the partnership.
Streamers from Refund Gaming, such as Rambo and Le Khoi, also expressed their gratitude to the platform, regretting that they could not continue their collaboration.

NimoTV's announcement, along with a series of comments demanding the app be deleted, went viral on Facebook. |
However, in the comments section, many accounts continued to criticize NimoTV. These people argued that the streaming app disrespects streamers, turning off recommendations before the contract has ended. "Anh Độ announced his contract ended, and the next day they turned off recommendations for the Refund team. When I asked about it, they gave a technical reason. What a coincidence!" user NP reacted.
Earlier in a broadcast, Mr. Phung Thanh Do expressed his frustration because the platform no longer suggested his broadcasts and those of other members of the same organization. “There’s no technical issue causing the loss of suggestions on the homepage and search results. NimoTV’s response didn’t satisfy me. It’s a large company, and their behavior is ridiculous,” Mr. Do told viewers.
Under NimoTV's announcement post, hundreds of comments appeared demanding the app be deleted, right after Mixi Gaming stopped broadcasting. "I will delete the app as soon as the Refund team leaves. That's the end of lag, pixelated images, and wasted memory," commented user Toan Hoan.
Not only on Facebook, but many extremist individuals also gave the app 1-star ratings on app stores. On Google Play, the NimoTV app only has an average rating of 2.9 out of 5 stars.
Additionally, many users have criticized the app for other issues such as poor resolution, overheating, and the lack of video fast-forwarding features. NimoTV has approximately 50 million downloads on Android, with monthly traffic of 6.3 million, according to SimilarWeb . Of these users, 83% are from Vietnam.
Độ Mixi has collaborated with NimoTV for many years since the platform entered the Vietnamese market. Currently, he contributes a large number of viewers and gift revenue to the application. The platform has also recognized the streamer's contributions on several occasions with awards.
