During major holidays, when travel, trade, and tourism demand surge, the risk of illegal activities such as smuggling, commercial fraud, illegal immigration, or exploiting loopholes to cause instability is always present. This is a time that requires border guards to heighten vigilance and maintain a high level of combat readiness.
Prior to this year's April 30th and May 1st holidays, the Dak Lak Border Guard Command proactively developed a combat readiness plan, reviewed and adjusted operational plans, and assigned specific tasks to each subordinate agency and unit. The focus was on thoroughly understanding the local situation and ensuring sufficient personnel, equipment, and technical resources for combat readiness in all situations.
From headquarters to grassroots units, the spirit of readiness is strictly enforced. The Training and Mobile Battalion, border guard posts, and border guard naval squadrons are strengthening their presence in their assigned areas and implementing comprehensive border defense measures. Patrol, control, and guard duties are maintained regularly; combat plans are practiced thoroughly. Simultaneously, coordination with relevant forces is being carried out to effectively combat and prevent illegal activities along both the land and sea borders.

At the Dak Rue Border Gate Border Guard Station, the atmosphere of readiness during holidays is always maintained at a high intensity. Lieutenant Colonel Tran Minh Hai, Commander of the Dak Rue Border Gate Border Guard Station, said that the unit has implemented comprehensive measures in border management and protection; closely monitoring the situation both inside and outside the border and in key areas. The highest goal is to promptly detect, combat, prevent, and thwart all subversive activities of hostile forces, maintaining political security and social order in the assigned area.
Behind the meticulously planned strategies and operational plans lie touching stories of silent sacrifice. Many officers and soldiers are accustomed to celebrating holidays away from home. For them, family reunions are temporarily put aside, giving way to the duty of protecting the peaceful borders of the Fatherland.

Colonel Do Quang Tham, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command and Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command, shared: “With a high level of vigilance and combat readiness, officers and soldiers of the Dak Lak Border Guard always hold their weapons firmly, stay close to their units and localities, and are determined to firmly protect national territorial sovereignty and border security; maintaining social order and safety in border areas so that people can celebrate the holidays safely and peacefully.”
