Nearly 103,000 students in Hanoi took the entrance exam for 10th grade.

On the morning of June 7th, nearly 103,000 students in Hanoi officially began the entrance exam for 10th grade in public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year with the Literature subject. The exam will be in essay format and will last 120 minutes.

Observations at several examination sites indicate that today's weather is relatively cool and pleasant, favorable for candidates taking the exam and for parents waiting outside. Traffic is generally smooth, with no congestion occurring at the examination sites.

As early as 6:30 a.m., many students were already present at the examination site, taking the opportunity to review their knowledge, especially on social commentary topics. According to many candidates, this year's Literature exam follows the new general education curriculum, with materials outside of textbooks, so they are a little worried.

Although the Literature exam starts at 8:00 AM, according to regulations, candidates must be present in the examination room at least 60 minutes before the start time to complete procedures and calm their nerves.

According to statistics from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, during the exam regulations training and registration process, the city had 201 examination centers, 4,411 examination rooms, and 201 reserve rooms. The attendance rate was 102,365 out of 102,860 candidates, reaching 99.52%; 495 candidates were absent due to vocational training or attending private schools. Notably, 11 candidates required assistance with their exams due to health issues or medical needs.

At the examination sites, the necessary facilities were fully prepared in accordance with regulations. 100% of the examination sites coordinated with security forces and the police to prepare comprehensive plans to ensure safety and security within the examination grounds and the area outside the gates; each examination site had a backup generator.
