Nearly 3 million Northern Electricity customers affected by storm No. 10

As of the afternoon of September 29, storm No. 10 and its circulation continued to cause heavy rain and strong winds, causing the number of affected customers in the Northern region to increase sharply.

According to the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), there are currently nearly 2.95 million affected customers, accounting for 35.77% of the total number of managed customers; of which, 339,258 customers have had their power restored.

Localities suffering major losses include Thanh Hoa with 771,152 customers, Nghe An with 1,095,440 customers, Ha Tinh with 479,673 customers and Ninh Binh with 136,879 customers.

Regarding infrastructure, there are currently 6 110 kV transformer stations, 17 110 kV lines, 19,402 medium voltage transformer stations and 467 medium voltage lines temporarily suspended. Compared to the same morning, the number of transformer stations and medium voltage lines increased by 4,283 substations and 105 lines, mainly in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An due to continuous rain and wind.

EVNNPC mobilized 1,419 officers and employees from member Power Companies divided into three main groups in Thanh Hoa , Nghe An and Ha Tinh, and at the same time mobilized 146 more officers and employees to support Ha Tinh. The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue and other units remained on duty with 100% of their personnel, determined to quickly and safely overcome the situation and soon restore power to serve the people.
