On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Voice of Vietnam (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2023), on September 5, the leaders of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) had a meeting and worked with the leaders of Vietnam Television (VTV) on strengthening cooperation and coordination in propaganda between the two key press agencies.

At the working session of the Party Central Committee member, General Director of Vietnam Television (VTV) Le Ngoc Quang emphasized that September 7 is a special anniversary for VOV and VTV. On September 7, 1945 - just 5 days after President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence announcing to the entire nation and the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, at exactly 11:30 a.m. on September 7, 1945, VOV officially broadcast its first program.

VTV General Director Le Ngoc Quang affirmed the effective cooperation relationship between the two key multimedia media agencies. Through many historical periods of national liberation, construction and defense of the country, VTV has always been an important media agency of the Party and State, a trusted friend of the people. VTV has made great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national unification, as well as the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

VTV's General Director also proposed that in the coming time, the two sides continue to promote the tradition of cooperation and coordination in propaganda, especially, have a mechanism to increase information exchange, support each other on platforms and together solve common problems not only of the two agencies but also of other key press agencies such as VNA, Nhan Dan Newspaper...

"For VTV, we have reflected on the difficulties and challenges in institutional and policy issues. This is a big problem and I hope that we will discuss, reach a consensus and have common proposals to solve the challenges," VTV's General Director suggested.

Agreeing with the proposal of VTV General Director, Party Central Committee member, General Director of Vietnam Television (VOV) Do Tien Sy also said that VOV and VTV always maintain the tradition of cooperation and coordination through each stage of formation, development, and each historical milestone in building and defending the country. We are like a large united collective and meet the requirements and tasks assigned by Uncle Ho, the Party and the State.

"Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued a Directive on policy communication. This affirms the position and importance of key press agencies. In particular, the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister to VOV and VTV, the two agencies can coordinate to deploy and carry out effectively," VOV General Director emphasized.

The two sides agreed that in the coming time, the two sides will concretize and specifically implement coordinated activities in propaganda to affirm and maintain their roles and positions.
