Fostering connections and building an environment for information exchange.

To commemorate the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Voice of Vietnam (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2023), on September 5th, the leaders of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) held a meeting and working session with the leaders of Vietnam Television (VTV) to strengthen cooperation and coordination in propaganda between the two leading media organizations.

At the meeting, Central Committee member and Director General of Vietnam Television (VTV), Le Ngoc Quang, emphasized that September 7th is a special anniversary for VOV and VTV. On September 7th, 1945 – just five days after President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, announcing the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the entire nation and the world – at 11:30 AM, VOV officially broadcast its first program.

VTV General Director Le Ngoc Quang affirmed the effective cooperative relationship between the two leading multimedia broadcasting agencies. Throughout various historical periods, from national liberation to national construction and defense, Vietnam National Radio has always been an important media agency of the Party and State, a trusted friend of the people. Vietnam National Radio has made immense contributions to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, as well as the cause of national construction and defense.

The Director General of VTV also suggested that, in the future, the two sides should continue to uphold the tradition of cooperation and coordination in propaganda, especially by establishing mechanisms to enhance information exchange, support each other on various platforms, and jointly resolve common issues not only for the two agencies but also for other key media outlets such as VNA, Nhan Dan Newspaper, etc.

"Regarding VTV, we have received feedback on the difficulties and challenges in institutional and policy matters. This is a major issue, and I hope that we will discuss, reach a consensus, and jointly propose solutions to address these challenges," the General Director of VTV suggested.

Agreeing with the proposal of the Director General of VTV, Central Committee member and Director General of Vietnam Radio (VOV) Do Tien Sy also stated that VOV and VTV have always maintained a tradition of cooperation and coordination throughout their formation and development, and at every historical milestone in building and defending the country. We are a large, united collective, fulfilling the requirements and tasks entrusted by President Ho Chi Minh, the Party, and the State.

"Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued a directive on policy communication. This affirms the position and importance of key media agencies. In particular, the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister to VOV and VTV can be effectively implemented through coordinated efforts," the Director General of VOV emphasized.

Both sides agreed that in the coming period, they will concretize and implement specific coordinated activities in propaganda to affirm and maintain their roles and positions.
