According to Gaming Bolt , 505 Games' Ghostrunner 2 will launch next month, and so far the game has revealed some gameplay details and showcased incredibly beautiful graphics.
Amidst the anticipation for the sequel, the publisher unexpectedly announced a new sales milestone for the original Ghostrunner game. The original title has sold over 2.5 million copies since its release in October 2020. At its launch three years ago, the game achieved considerable success, both critically and commercially.
The first Ghostrunner game sold over 2.5 million copies.
In a recent post on the Steam Community page, the developers of One More Level stated that they initially planned to announce the milestone of reaching 2 million sales. However, perhaps due to the community's overwhelming enthusiasm for the sequel, sales of the predecessor have already exceeded 2.5 million. Although the development team expects to reach the 3 million mark soon, they were surprised to receive a celebratory poster from 505 Games for this achievement.
As for Ghostrunner 2 , the game will be released on October 26th for platforms such as Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC (those who pre-ordered will have 48 hours of early access).
The sequel will be on a much larger scale than the first game, with the protagonist Jack gaining the ability to control high-speed bicycles, a rather interesting detail that fits the fast-paced gameplay style of Ghostrunner .
