Rice price increased by 200 VND/kg; paddy price remained stable

Update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province said that today's rice price has not been adjusted compared to yesterday, IR 50404 is priced at 7,600 - 7,900 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is priced at 8,300; OM 5451 rice is priced at 8,000 - 8,200 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is priced at 8,300; OM 380 fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; Japanese rice is priced at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg and Nang Nhen rice (dry) is priced at 20,000 VND/kg.

Update in localities today, rice quantity is quite good, warehouses buy slowly, giving higher prices for good rice, stable prices. In An Cu (Soc Trang), quantity is quite good, bad rice is abundant, warehouses choose good rice for high prices. In An Giang, warehouses buy slowly, stable prices depending on the type.

In the rice market, rice prices have been adjusted compared to yesterday. Currently, raw IR 504 Summer-Autumn rice is at 10,800 - 11,000 VND/kg, an increase of 200 VND/kg; finished IR 504 rice is at 13,100 - 13,300 VND/kg.

For by-products, the price of by-products of all kinds fluctuates between 6,600 - 8,800 VND/kg. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice is at 8,600 - 8,800 VND/kg; the price of dry bran is at 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg.

At retail markets, rice prices have not been adjusted for individual rice products. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; Jasmine rice is VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice is VND20,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates around VND15,000 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice is VND20,000 - 21,000/kg; Jasmine rice is VND20,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is VND21,000/kg; common white rice is VND17,000/kg; regular Soc rice is VND18,000 - 18,500/kg; Thai Soc rice is VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was at 452 USD/ton; 5% standard rice was at 571 USD/ton; and 25% broken rice was at 534 USD/ton.
