Pork prices hit a new record high of 74,000 VND/kg.

(GLO) - On January 12th, with an increase of 1,000-2,000 VND/kg, the price of live pigs set a new record for the beginning of 2026. Currently, the price of live pigs today ranges from 63,000-74,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, in the North, live pig prices are currently being purchased at 71,000-74,000 VND/kg. The highest price nationwide is recorded in Bac Ninh, after an increase of 2,000 VND/kg. Following closely behind are Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Hanoi , Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, and Hung Yen, with live pig purchase prices reaching 73,000 VND/kg.

Lang Son and Lai Chau have the lowest live pig prices in the region at 71,000 VND/kg. In other localities, live pig prices reached 72,000 VND/kg.

Similarly, live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions also increased by 1,000 VND/kg in many localities, bringing the purchase price to fluctuate between 67,000 and 73,000 VND/kg.

Of these, Thanh Hoa recorded the highest price in the region, while Lam Dong had the lowest. In Gia Lai , the price of live pigs remains stable at 68,000 VND/kg.

In the South, today's live pig prices are trading at 63,000-67,000 VND/kg. The highest prices are in Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, after an increase of 1,000 VND/kg; the lowest prices are in Can Tho, remaining stable compared to yesterday.
