Businesses are proactively catching on to the trends in Tet gifts.
As one of the first companies to launch its Tet gift-giving season this year, LiLa Herbal Pharmaceutical Company Limited (An Binh Ward, Gia Lai Province) has introduced a gift set that combines herbal health care products with typical local specialties.

The gift market in Gia Lai is booming with the rise of gift baskets combining local specialties.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, Director of the company, each gift set or basket is designed to harmoniously combine herbal tea, nutritious nuts, natural dried fruits, and valuable products such as cordyceps, refined bird's nest, herbal-infused wine, etc.
Depending on the type of product, each gift basket will cost from 500,000 VND to 3 million VND, or even more if the customer requests it. All products have clear origins, prioritizing local OCOP (One Commune One Product) products, are packaged to standard specifications, and are suitable for a wide range of gift-giving customers.
Ms. Trang stated that this is the third year the company has developed its Tet gift product line, so they have a good understanding of consumer preferences. Buyers are increasingly interested in the health benefits, origin of products, and aesthetic appeal of the gift baskets.
“Tet gift baskets are not just about seasonal sales; they are also a long-term brand-building tool. When products appear in gift baskets, the ability to reach new customer groups increases significantly, creating room for market expansion after Tet,” Ms. Trang shared.
Besides manufacturing businesses, many flower and gift shops in the area have also quickly grasped market trends. At Yuri Flower shop (Dien Hong ward, Gia Lai province), the service of designing Tet gift baskets is seeing a sharp increase in orders compared to the same period last year.

Many flower and gift businesses in the area have also quickly grasped market trends.
According to the store representative, instead of choosing pre-packaged gift baskets, many customers tend to order custom-designed gift baskets, combining fresh flowers, imported confectionery, wine, dried fruits, and local specialties. Each gift basket is created according to the customer's needs, budget, and the message they want to convey, increasing the personalization of Tet gifts.
"Today's customers are not only interested in the value of the product but also pay attention to the appearance and meaning of the gift. Gift baskets combined with dried flowers, harmonious colors, and an elegant look are often chosen to give to partners, clients, or relatives," shared a representative from Yuri Flower store.
According to observations, Tet gift baskets at the store range in price from 700,000 VND to 2 million VND, depending on the products and design requirements. The trend of ordering gift sets that combine local specialties with fresh flowers also contributes to promoting regional products and creates more diverse options for the Tet gift market.
Retail systems increase supply, stimulating consumer demand.
Alongside the proactive efforts of manufacturing businesses, retail systems in the area are also stepping up preparations to supply goods for the Tet holiday market.
At Co.opmart Pleiku supermarket, preparations for the year-end shopping season have been underway since early on. According to Ms. Chau Hoang Thy, Deputy Director of the supermarket, the unit has proactively worked with suppliers to ensure a stable supply of goods to meet the increased consumer demand.

Co.opmart Pleiku has stockpiled goods worth approximately 115 billion VND, a 10% increase compared to the previous year.
This year, Co.opmart Pleiku has stocked goods worth approximately 115 billion VND, a 10% increase compared to last year. Along with increasing inventory, the supermarket is implementing numerous promotional programs with discounts of up to 50%, offering buy-one-get-one-free deals on many product categories, and boosting sales of its private label products.
Retail systems in the province are also accelerating preparations for the peak season. At GO! Quy Nhon Supermarket, the unit aims for a revenue growth of approximately 20-25% in the two months before and after the Lunar New Year.

Many attractive gift baskets were chosen by consumers.
According to Ms. Ngo Thi Hong, Head of the High-Consumption Goods Department, the supermarket has increased its import volume by more than 20% compared to the same period last year, focusing on product groups for Tet (Lunar New Year) such as food, soft drinks, beer, wine, and Tet gift baskets. Specifically for gift baskets, the unit expects to supply approximately 5,000-6,000 baskets to the market. The price of each basket will range from 400,000 VND to 2 million VND.
Besides increasing supply, many promotional programs have also been implemented, such as discounts of 8-12% on Tet gift baskets depending on the order value; discounts of 10-30% on confectionery; and discounts or special offers on many essential goods based on the total bill. According to observations, stable prices and guaranteed quality are factors that lead many consumers to choose to shop early at supermarkets.
To stabilize the market and ensure a balance between supply and demand for goods during the Tet holiday, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to prepare essential goods for the people. Accordingly, businesses are encouraged to proactively stockpile goods, strengthen supply connections, implement promotional programs and price stabilization measures, contributing to maintaining market stability and meeting the increased shopping demand during Tet.
