Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current prices are as follows: OM 18 rice (fresh) ranges from 6,800 to 7,000 VND/kg; OM 380 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,900 to 6,000 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice (fresh) ranges from 6,200 to 6,300 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) ranges from 6,900 to 7,000 VND/kg; IR 50404 rice (fresh) ranges from 5,800 to 6,000 VND/kg; and Nang Hoa 9 rice ranges from 6,550 to 6,750 VND/kg.

Observations in many localities today show that farmers are reporting that their rice is dry but transactions are slow and prices remain stable; the supply of fresh rice is decreasing, and buying and selling is slow. In An Giang and Can Tho, the remaining rice supply is low, transactions remain slow, and prices are stagnant. In Tra Vinh , the rice crop has mostly ripened, and many rice fields have been staked awaiting harvesting.

In Bac Lieu, farmers are holding onto fresh ST rice and fragrant rice, with many areas already reserved, and demand for purchase is sporadic. In Kien Giang, rice supply is gradually decreasing, and prices remain stable. In Long An , supply is limited, traders are not inquiring much, and transactions are slow.

Similarly, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current prices for raw OM 18 rice range from 10,1500 to 10,300 VND/kg; raw IR 504 rice ranges from 7,900 to 8,050 VND/kg; raw OM 380 rice ranges from 7,700 to 7,850 VND/kg; raw 5451 rice ranges from 9,600 to 9,750 VND/kg; finished OM 380 rice ranges from 8,800 to 9,000 VND/kg; and finished IR 504 rice ranges from 9,500 to 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of these items range from approximately 7,300 to 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, fragrant rice bran is priced at 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg; and rice bran is priced at 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Observations from various localities today indicate that demand for OM 5451 and fragrant rice is higher, transactions are steady, and prices remain stable. In An Giang, supply is good, warehouses are slow to buy, and prices are firm. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), supply is moderate, and prices are relatively stable.

In Sa Dec market (Dong Thap province), the quantity is better, warehouse transactions are slow, and prices are less volatile. In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang province), the quantity is moderate, warehouse transactions are slow, and prices are stable.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice is listed highest at 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice ranges from 15,500 - 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice ranges from 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 17,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice ranges from 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 21,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.

On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged today compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price for 5% broken rice is $396/ton; 25% broken rice is $368/ton; and 100% broken rice is $317/ton.
