Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,900 - 6,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,200 - 6,300 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg; the price of Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuates at 6,550 - 6,750 VND/kg.
In many localities today, farmers reported that dry rice is still available but transactions are sporadic and prices are stable; fresh rice supply is gradually decreasing, and transactions are slow. In An Giang and Can Tho, there is little rice left, transactions are still slow, and prices are stable. In Tra Vinh, rice fields have been closed, and many rice areas have been staked waiting to be harvested.
In Bac Lieu , farmers keep the price of fresh ST rice high, many areas have been staked, and demand for buying is slow. In Kien Giang, the amount of rice is gradually decreasing, and the price is stable. In Long An, the supply is low, traders do not ask to buy much, and buying and selling transactions are slow.
Similar to rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently OM 18 raw rice fluctuates at 10,1500 - 10,300 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 7,900 - 8,050 VND/kg; OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 7,700 - 7,850; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 9,600 - 9,750/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.
As for by-products, the price of by-products ranges from 7,300 - 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, fragrant rice bran ranges from 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg; the price of bran ranges from 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.
Recorded in localities today, demand for OM 5451 and fragrant rice is better, transactions are steady, prices are stable. In An Giang, the quantity is quite good, warehouse purchases are slow, prices are stable. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is sporadic, prices fluctuate little.
Sa Dec market channel (Dong Thap) has better quantity, slow warehouse purchases, and little price fluctuation. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), quantity is sporadic, warehouse transactions are slow, and prices are stable.
At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,500 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice fluctuates at VND21,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice is priced at VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is priced at VND22,000/kg.
In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today remained unchanged from yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 396 USD/ton; 25% broken rice is at 368 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 317 USD/ton.
