McTominay's value has doubled.

According to Calciomercato , with his impressive performances in his first season at Napoli, McTominay's market value has increased to around 60 million euros. Previously, Napoli only spent about 30 million euros to bring McTominay from Manchester United.

Napoli manager Antonio Conte and director Giovanni Manna recognized the opportunity to sign McTominay when he was left out of manager Erik ten Hag's plans last summer. The Neapolitan club beat out numerous competitors to acquire the Scottish midfielder. This decision has yielded excellent results for the team.

In his first season playing in Italy, McTominay scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 34 Serie A appearances, making a significant contribution to Napoli's title-winning campaign. He was also named Serie A Player of the Season for 2024/25.

Under Conte's guidance, Napoli's tactical system has been flexibly adjusted between 3-5-2, 4-3-3, and 4-4-2 formations, allowing McTominay to operate as an attacking midfielder, free to move around the pitch and take responsibility for scoring goals.

As a result, the midfielder nearly doubled his goal tally in a single season, rising from 7 Premier League goals in the 2023/24 season to 12 in Serie A. In addition, McTominay's number of assists also skyrocketed from 1 to 6 this season.

McTominay's contract with Napoli runs until June 2028, with a salary of approximately 3 million euros per season after tax.
