According to Calciomercato , with impressive performances in his first season at Napoli, McTominay's value in the transfer market has increased to about 60 million euros. Previously, Napoli only spent about 30 million euros to welcome McTominay to play from MU.

Napoli manager Antonio Conte and director Giovanni Manna saw an opportunity to sign McTominay when he fell out of Erik ten Hag's plans last summer. The Naples club beat off competition to sign the Scottish midfielder, a move that paid off handsomely.
