The listed price for 9999 gold bars at SJC Hanoi was 66.35 million VND per tael for buying and 67.07 million VND per tael for selling.
Doji Hanoi listed gold at 66.35 million VND per tael for buying and 66.95 million VND per tael for selling.
On the world market, the spot gold price on June 3rd (Vietnam time) was trading around $1,947.5 per ounce. Gold futures were trading at $1,948 per ounce.
World gold prices recorded their first increase in three weeks last week, although the rise was relatively weak. At the end of last week, while gold prices failed to reach $2,000 per ounce, they did escape their lowest level in two months. This will be an important factor driving gold prices higher in the coming period.

On the stock market , the VN-Index surged strongly in the last trading session of the week. At the close of trading, the VN-Index rose 12.45 points to 1,090.84 points. The HNX-Index increased 2.06 points to 226.03 points. The UPCoM-Index rose 0.46 points to 83.96 points.
Regarding the dollar exchange rate , the Vietnamese Dong against the US Dollar was listed by the State Bank of Vietnam on June 3rd at 23,722 VND per USD.
The reference exchange rate at the State Bank of Vietnam's Exchange Transaction Department on June 3rd was 23,400 VND for buying and 24,858 VND for selling per dollar. The USD price at commercial banks on June 3rd was traded around 23,280 VND per USD for buying and 23,650 VND per USD for selling.
Globally, the US dollar strengthened significantly. The DXY index – which measures the strength of the USD against six major currencies – ended the week at 104.04 points.
World oil prices tended to rise, following the upward trend from the last two trading sessions of last week. However, overall this past week, world oil prices reversed course and fell slightly after two consecutive weeks of increases.
At the close of last week, Brent crude was trading at $76.13 per barrel, while WTI crude was at $71.74 per barrel.
In the domestic market, today's gasoline and diesel prices are based on the rates set in the June 1st price adjustment by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Specifically, the price of RON 95 gasoline increased to 22,010 VND per liter. The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline rose to 20,870 VND per liter. The price of diesel decreased to 17,940 VND per liter. The price of kerosene decreased to 17,770 VND per liter.
