SJC gold bar price exceeds 125 million/tael

In this morning's trading session (August 21), Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) increased the price of gold bars by 600,000 VND in both buying and selling directions, currently listed at 124.4 - 125.4 million VND/tael, also a new record price for this item.

Similarly, other large gold trading enterprises in the market such as Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ), DOJI Group, Phu Quy Group, Bao Tin Minh Chau, Bao Tin Manh Hai, Mi Hong Company... also raised the price of gold bars to equal that of SJC.

This is the 6th time this year that gold bars have set a record price. Compared to the beginning of the year, the price of gold bars has increased by 41 million VND per tael, equivalent to a net increase of more than 50% in less than 9 months.

It is estimated that those who bought gold at the beginning of the year, if selling at today's historical price, will immediately receive a net profit of 40 million VND/tael.

Similar to gold bars, the price of gold rings also increased sharply in the trading session on August 21. SJC's 99.99 gold rings of 1-5 chi increased by VND500,000 in both trading directions, currently anchored at VND117.3 - 119.8 million/tael.

The remaining businesses also maintained an increase of nearly half a million VND for gold rings, currently listing buying prices around 117-117.5 million VND/tael and selling prices around 120-120.5 million VND/tael.

In the world , spot gold prices increased 15 USD (+0.4%) to 3,341 USD /ounce. Converted to Vietnamese currency (excluding taxes and fees), the world gold price is equivalent to 107 million VND/tael.

At this level, the world gold price is still lower than the price of SJC gold bars by about 18 million VND/tael and lower than the price of gold rings by about 13 million VND/tael.
