Gasoline and oil prices increased at 3:00 p.m. on September 18.

HNN.VN - Based on the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, petroleum businesses have simultaneously adjusted petroleum prices since 3:00 p.m. on September 18. Notably, in today's adjustment session, RON 95 gasoline price exceeded 20,500 VND/liter.

Gasoline prices increased at 3:00 p.m. on September 18.

The price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by 200 VND, to 20,600 VND/liter, E5 RON 92 also increased by 230 VND, to 19,980 VND. Similarly, diesel oil increased by 60 VND, to 18,700 VND/liter. Compared to 7 days ago, kerosene cost 18,540 VND per liter, mazut was 15,130 VND.

From August 1, the two largest petroleum market players, Petrolimex and PVOIL, will pilot the sale of E10 gasoline - a biofuel that mixes 10% ethanol into mineral gasoline. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is also proposing to sell only E10 gasoline from the beginning of 2026.

However, regarding E10 gasoline, the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade said that Hue City has just sent Document 12621/UBND dated September 10, 2025 to the Ministry of Industry and Trade to review and study the roadmap for application in each phase, with a gradually increasing percentage to create conditions for consumers and businesses to have time to adapt.

Specifically, from 2026 to 2028: All gasoline put on the market will be blended and traded at a ratio of 50% biofuel and 50% traditional fuel. In case a gas station has only one tank, it is mandatory to trade biofuel. From 2029 to 2030: All gasoline put on the market nationwide will be E10 gasoline. From the beginning of 2031: All gasoline put on the market will be E15 gasoline or other types of biofuel with a blending ratio prescribed by the Minister of Industry and Trade.
