Attractive football tournament for Vietnamese workers and civil servants is about to start

The 2024 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Tuoi Tre Newspaper. At the press conference on the afternoon of September 16, the organizing committee of the 2024 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament announced details about the time, location, competition format, competition rules, and list of teams nationwide participating in the tournament. The organizing committee also drew lots to divide the groups and announced the official competition schedule.

The tournament is organized in the format of 7-a-side football, according to the competition rules issued by VFF; implemented according to the Labor Federation system on a national scale, gathering nearly 60 participating teams, representing provincial/municipal Trade Unions, Industry Trade Unions and enterprises across the country.

The organizing committee introduces the cup, flag, shirt and ball of the tournament.

According to the regulations of the organizing committee, the subjects participating in the competition are male workers, civil servants, and laborers, with Vietnamese nationality, working in agencies, units, and enterprises of all economic sectors with trade unions; having a labor contract and participating in social insurance and health insurance for 1 year or more up to the time of registration for the competition; having a smartphone installed with the VssID application of Vietnam Social Security and having a personal identification account on the VNeID application of the Ministry of Public Security .

The 2024 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament includes a qualifying round and a final round. The qualifying round is scheduled to take place from September to October 2024 in 4 regions: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong , Nghe An, and Bac Ninh. The 16 best teams in the qualifying round will qualify for the national final round, which will take place in November in Hanoi.

Representatives of the tournament organizing committee and coach Phung Thanh Phuong (HCMC Club) drew lots to divide the groups.

The total prize of the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is up to 930 million VND. Of which, the regional qualifying round champion receives 50 million VND, and the national final round champion receives 150 million VND.

In addition to organizing football matches, in the qualifying and final round competition areas, the organizing committee also carries out supporting activities such as: examination and consultation on musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries; free distribution of nutritional and physical medicine; booths selling discounted necessities, etc. to take care of the cultural and spiritual life of workers, attracting spectators to the stadium to watch and cheer.
