On the afternoon of December 19th, Nhan Dan Newspaper, in collaboration with Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company, held the launch ceremony for the "Building for Tet 2026" program with the theme "Thanking the Guardians of Happiness".

After four years of implementation, the "Building Tet" program continues to affirm its status as a highly humane social welfare program, demonstrating the practical concern and support of media agencies and businesses for workers – those who directly contribute to the economic and social development of the country.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , affirmed: "Building a Tet (Lunar New Year) celebration is a practical initiative that contributes to caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers. The program not only provides immediate support but also strongly promotes a culture of workplace safety, considering it a key factor in protecting the long-term happiness of workers and their families."

The highlight of this year's program is the promotion and raising of awareness about safety culture in the workplace. Safety is identified as a core value and a foundation for protecting the health, lives, and long-term well-being of workers. This message is integrated throughout the activities, from gift giving and healthcare to direct communication at the construction site.

The program will be implemented from December 2025 to February 2026 at 72 Coteccons construction sites nationwide, and will also be expanded to include sanitation workers and urban water supply and drainage workers in Hanoi , Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. According to the plan, “Building Tet 2026” is expected to donate nearly 30,000 Tet gifts and organize many practical welfare activities such as health check-ups, Tet haircuts, commemorative photo sessions, etc., in coordination with ministries, agencies, media outlets, organizations, and a team of volunteers.

In addition, the "Building Dreams" scholarship will continue to be maintained in the 2025-2026 academic year, targeting children of workers with above-average academic achievements, contributing to creating learning opportunities, nurturing the future generation, and spreading a sustainable spirit of social responsibility.

This year, Nhan Dan Newspaper is calling on businesses to partner with and support the "Building a Better Tet 2026" program with in-kind donations to be given to sanitation and urban water supply and drainage workers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

"As the leading media outlet of the Party and the State, we always prioritize implementing social and charitable activities to spread humanitarian values and encourage a spirit of community service. Continuing to cooperate with Coteccons in organizing 'Building Tet 2026' demonstrates our social responsibility and our desire to join hands in caring for workers during Tet, especially those in demanding professions," shared Mr. Pham Song Ha, Head of the Political and Foreign Affairs Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Ms. Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang, Deputy General Director of Coteccons, shared that construction workers are the ones who directly shape the appearance of buildings, yet they are also the most humble and quiet. Every step they take on the construction site, every action they perform, is linked to the responsibility of ensuring safety for themselves and their teammates.

Therefore, "Building for Tet 2026" has become a festival for workers – a place where workers are listened to, honored, and appreciated as they deserve. Through this program, Coteccons contributes to spreading the message about ensuring workplace safety to the community.
