In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Trong Luc, Deputy Director of the Information and Application Center for Science and Technology (Department of Science and Technology), stated that organizing the workshop at the local level is of practical significance, helping to convey scientific and technical advancements to the people in a visual and easily understandable way, meeting the increasingly high demands of the domestic and export markets. The long-term development orientation for durian cultivation, linked to the establishment of planting area codes, adherence to technical procedures, and quality standards, aligns with the province's agricultural restructuring orientation – ecological, high-tech agriculture linked to digital transformation.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Luc, Deputy Director of the Center for Information and Application of Science and Technology, delivered the opening remarks at the workshop.
At the program, attendees heard presentations on three key, practical topics: protecting and restoring soil environment and establishing a suitable nutritional regime for durian trees; solutions for addressing flooding, improving soil environment and root systems, and caring for and restoring durian trees after flooding; and an introduction and guidance on establishing planting area codes – a crucial element for organizing synchronized production, ensuring traceability, and gradually participating in the agricultural value chain aimed at export.

Presenter Lam Van Ha from the Institute of Advanced Technology presented at the conference.
Following the discussion, farmers asked many questions and received advice and answers from experts to resolve difficulties and obstacles in the process of cultivating and caring for the trees. In addition, many households expressed their desire for pilot planting models and direct technical guidance in durian orchards in the future, helping producers access knowledge and apply it appropriately to their actual conditions, thereby increasing crop yields.
