Pork prices in Northern Vietnam today, October 16, 2024

In the northern region, today, October 16, 2024, the price of live pigs continued to decrease by 1,000 VND/kg in many localities and traded in the range of 64,000 – 66,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, the price of live pigs decreased by 1,000 VND/kg in the following provinces and cities: Lao Cai , Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, and Ha Nam.

Pork prices recorded in Hanoi , Hai Duong, and Hung Yen are the highest in the region at 66,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces in the region are purchasing at 65,000 VND/kg, except for Lao Cai which is at 64,000 VND/kg.

In the region today, except for Dak Lak and Ninh Thuan which remained unchanged, the remaining provinces uniformly adjusted prices down by 1,000 VND/kg in this morning's trading session.

Accordingly, live pigs in Central Vietnam are being purchased at prices ranging from 63,000 to 64,000 VND/kg. Specifically, the price of 64,000 VND/kg is observed in the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan.

In the Central and Central Highlands regions, pork prices on October 16, 2024, recorded a decrease in most localities.

Pork prices in Southern Vietnam today, October 16, 2024

In the southern region, today's live pig prices followed the nationwide downward trend and fluctuated around 63,000 – 65,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, the price of live pigs in many localities returned to 63,000 VND/kg this morning, such as in Tien Giang and Soc Trang provinces. This is currently the lowest price nationwide.

The highest prices in the region are in the provinces and cities of Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, and Ho Chi Minh City, all trading at 65,000 VND/kg.

Pork prices in the Southern region decreased across the board on October 16, 2024.

Overall, live pig prices are continuing their downward trend in all three regions, with an average decrease of 1 price unit. According to surveys, live pig prices in provinces and cities are fluctuating between 63,000 and 66,000 VND/kg.
