According to initial information, on the afternoon of May 28th, NHPT (born in 2013, residing in Phu Thuy ward) went swimming at Doi Duong beach (Phan Thiet ward) with a group of friends. That evening, her friends couldn't find her and notified her family and authorities. Authorities mobilized resources and local residents to search along the beach, but she was not found.
By early afternoon on May 29th, authorities found the body of NHPT at Doi Duong beach. Phan Thiet ward police were present at the scene to carry out the necessary procedures.
Every summer brings a series of tragic drowning incidents. Just one moment of carelessness can leave immense pain for families and loved ones. Authorities advise families to regularly remind their children to avoid swimming in the sea, rivers, and streams without adult supervision. They should not swim in deep water, areas with strong waves, or places without lifeguards.
Lam Dong province has directed relevant agencies to coordinate with local authorities to promote safe swimming lessons for children throughout the province, ensuring that more and more children learn to swim safely and acquire water safety skills to prevent and minimize the risk of drowning.
