At 8:00 AM on September 29th, the exhibition opened, and VinFast's booth attracted a large number of visitors. The VF 9 model received particular attention. "Beautiful, luxurious, spacious, worth owning," commented Mr. Le Van Dung, a visitor from Hanoi .
VinFast positions the VF 9 in the E-segment SUV market, but with a price range of 1.443-1.571 billion VND. The most expensive version of the VF 9 is about 428 million VND cheaper than the current cheapest model in the segment, the Explorer. Including a 250 million VND voucher, the VF 9's price is even lower, cheaper than the LuxSA 2.0.
Visitors will also be able to register for test drives of Vinfast's electric cars, namely the VF5, VF34, VF8, and VF9. People can also order electric motorcycles and electric cars directly at Vinfast's consultation booth located within the exhibition.
Earlier this morning, representatives from VinES also shared Vingroup's experience in developing clean energy at the 2023 Technology and Energy Forum. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thu, Head of Strategy and Cooperation at VinES, stated that green and clean energy is currently a top priority for many countries. In Vietnam, this is a crucial strategy in reducing emissions, aiming for net emissions of zero. VinES, a member of Vingroup, was established in August 2021 with the goal of contributing to the national greening process. "In just two years, we are a pioneer in Southeast Asia in developing batteries and energy storage solutions for various scales, from households and businesses to power plants," Mr. Thu said.
To support this claim, VinES representatives cited a series of milestones demonstrating their ability to master technology, production, and product application. Notably, just four months after its establishment, VinES supplied its self-developed battery pack system for the VFe34 – VinFast's first electric vehicle. In April 2022, the company completed a pilot production line for cylindrical batteries. A month later, the self-developed battery pack was supplied for the VF8 and VF9 car models. These batteries all achieved ISO 2009:2015 certification. The company also broke ground and put into operation several production plants in Hai Phong, Ha Tinh, and other locations.
