NDO - On December 9th, investor caution led to a rather sluggish market with weak capital flows, causing the general index to fluctuate slightly around the reference point for most of the trading session. In this session, VCB, HVN, and CTG were the main pillars helping the VN-Index close in positive territory. At the close of trading, the VN-Index increased by 3.70 points to 1,273.84 points.
On the HoSE exchange, the trading value in this session decreased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching over 12,546.44 billion VND.
Foreign investors reversed their position and sold net 471 billion VND on the HoSE exchange. On the buying side, MSN shares were the most heavily bought, with a value of over 45 billion VND. This was followed by DXG (33 billion VND), TCB (21 billion VND), etc. Conversely,FPT was the most heavily sold (360 billion VND), followed by CMG (35 billion VND), KBC (34 billion VND), etc.
Today's trading session saw 15 stocks in the VN30 index rise, 6 remain unchanged, and 9 fall.
Of these, VCB increased by 1.17% to 95,300 VND/share.
The following stocks: BCM, BID, CTG, GAS, GVR, HDB, HPG, MBB, POW, SSB, STB, TPB,VIB , VPB increased slightly from 0.16-0.92%.
The stocks that stopped at the reference price include: MWG,SHB , TCB, VIC, VNM, VRE.
Conversely, FPT shares fell 1.67% to 147,000 VND per share.
The remaining stocks: ACB, BVH, MSN, PLX, SAB, SSI, VHM, VJC saw slight declines.
In terms of sectors, among steel stocks, only DTL declined by 1.96%, while the rest performed well. Specifically, VCA hit its ceiling price at 14,400 VND/share, NKG increased by 3.42%, TLH by 3.39%, HSG by 1.34%, SMC by 1.18%, and HMC and HPG saw slight increases.
The securities sector saw mixed trading. On the upside, ORS rose 4.83% to VND 15,200 per share, HCM increased 1.2%, and AGR, CTS, FTS, VCI, and VIX saw slight gains. TVB and VDS remained unchanged. Conversely, TVS fell 1.67%, and APG, BSI, DSE, SSI, TCI, and VND experienced slight declines.
The banking sector closed in positive territory. Besides the VN30 group stocks ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, and VIB mentioned above, the remaining stocks saw gains: EIB increased by 1.88%, LPB decreased slightly, MSB increased slightly, OCB increased by 2.3%, and NAB also increased slightly.
Real estate stocks closed slightly higher. Specifically, FIR, HTN, LDG, TDC, and VRC hit their upper limit, while DXS rose 2.91%, FDC 6.04%, HAR 2.13%, HDG 2.81%, IJC 3.32%, NTL 4.05%, SCR 6.11%, and VSI 4.82%...
In addition, sectors such as transportation, telecommunications, production materials, raw materials, food and beverages, and utilities also closed in the green.
Conversely, the insurance, software, distribution, and retail sectors closed in the red.

* On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index closed at 229.21 points, up 0.28 points (+0.12%). Total trading volume reached over 48.99 million units, with a corresponding transaction value of over 909.74 billion VND. Across the entire exchange, there were 95 gainers, 62 unchanged stocks, and 69 losers.
The HNX30 index closed down 1.63 points (-0.33%) at 488.80 points. Trading volume reached approximately 27.17 million units, with a corresponding value of over 649.39 billion VND. Among the HNX30 stocks, 15 increased, 7 remained unchanged, and 8 decreased.
On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index rose, closing at 92.95 points, up 0.51 points (+0.55%). Total market liquidity reached over 41.98 million shares traded, with a corresponding trading value of over 512.61 billion VND. Among UPCoM stocks, 181 ended the trading day higher, 98 remained unchanged, and 95 declined.
* On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 3.70 points (+0.29%) at 1,273.84 points. Trading volume reached over 738.30 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND 16,250.53 billion. Across the entire exchange, there were 235 gainers, 85 unchanged stocks, and 146 losers.
The VN30 index fell 1.10 points (-0.08%) to 1,336.18 points. Trading volume reached over 214.52 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 6,657.07 billion. At the end of the trading day, 15 VN30 stocks increased, 6 remained unchanged, and 9 decreased.
The five stocks with the highest trading volume were HAG (over 29.87 million units), VPB (over 19.95 million units), SSI (over 18.86 million units), DXG (over 16.89 million units), and VIX (over 16.01 million units).
