The season of blooming flowers is magnificent.

These days, Mu Cang Chai commune (Lao Cai province) seems to be adorned in a vibrant spring cloak, as the "to day" flower – also known as the "highland cherry blossom" – enters its most beautiful blooming season of the year.

During the blooming season of the "tố dày" flower, Mu Cang Chai welcomes approximately 60,000 to 80,000 visitors each month.

On the mountain slopes, along the village paths, the delicate pink hues blend with the mountain clouds and the early morning sun, creating a natural landscape that is both expansive and gentle. Not only captivating to tourists, the blooming of the Tớ Dày flowers also signals the rhythm of life, work, and the hopes for a peaceful and prosperous new year for the people of the Northwest highlands.

This flower grows naturally along the hillsides and village roads.

The flowering season not only attracts tourists who come to take photos but is also associated with the end-of-year festivities of the local people.

The flowers of the thick-leaved mandarin usually begin to bloom from mid-December, reaching their peak bloom from the end of December to the beginning of January.
