The Women's Union of Van Canh district (Binh Dinh province) recently organized a dialogue program titled "Listening to Children Speak" with students of the Leaders of Change Club - Van Canh Town Secondary School - to listen to their opinions, thoughts, and aspirations on issues that concern them.
Speaking at the "Listening to Children Speak" dialogue program, the Chairwoman of the Van Canh District Women's Union, Pham Thi Thuy, said that this activity aims to promote the role and participation of schools, local authorities, and parent-teacher associations in communicating and raising awareness, fostering love and gender equality, and contributing to building a safe environment where children are protected, cared for, and develop comprehensively in school and at home.
Pham Thi Thuy, Chairwoman of the Van Canh District Women's Union, delivered a speech at the exchange and dialogue program.
"As part of the implementation of Project 8, 'Implementing Gender Equality and Addressing Urgent Issues for Women and Children,' in the district, this dialogue and exchange conference aims to encourage students and members of the Leaders of Change Club to actively exchange and share ideas, and especially to boldly ask many questions related to the implementation of Project 8, the Leaders of Change Club, and issues they are concerned about at school and in their local communities. Through this, we hope to help them gain more knowledge and skills, contributing to building a safe and holistic environment in school and at home," said Ms. Pham Thi Thuy.
The students shared the issues that concerned them.
During the dialogue and exchange program, the students shared their concerns and anxieties, as well as issues of interest such as child marriage, verbal violence, and youth employment.

It is known that the Women's Union of Van Canh district, in coordination with the District Department of Education and Training and three secondary schools in the area benefiting from Project 8, established three "Leaders of Change" clubs at three schools: Van Canh Town Secondary School, Canh Thuan Boarding Secondary School, and Canh Lien Ethnic Minority Boarding School.
