In its development orientation, Dong Nai city aims to harmonize economic growth with the preservation of cultural and historical values, patriotic spirit, and the tradition of heroic and resilient revolutionary struggle. Historical sites such as Tan Hiep Prison, the D War Zone, and the Headquarters of the Southern Vietnam Liberation Army (Ta Thiet Base)... are places that preserve the glorious historical values of the army and people of Dong Nai during the resistance war. In the future, Dong Nai will become a modern and civilized city while still preserving and promoting the distinctive cultural identity of a land that has been formed and developed for nearly 330 years. Through this, Dong Nai will effectively promote its heritage values, contributing to the preservation and dissemination of Vietnamese national cultural values in the process of participating in deep integration with the world.
Dong Nai currently has 121 classified historical sites (including 6 special national historical sites), such as: Tran Bien Temple of Literature, a symbol of culture and education in the Southern region; Nguyen Huu Canh Temple, commemorating his contributions to establishing sovereignty and the administrative apparatus in the South; the site where the Indochinese Communist Party branch was founded in Thuan Loi commune… all are destinations for sightseeing, research, and learning about the cultural and historical values of Dong Nai as well as the Southern region. In addition, Dong Nai city also has many archaeological, architectural, and religious sites.
