In addition, when the weather clears and the sun warms up, it is also the beginning of butterfly season in Cuc Phuong National Park.
Butterflies are insects that hide many interesting things in their life cycle. The growth and development process of butterflies is a closed cycle: Egg - Larva - Caterpillar - Pupa (pupa forms a cocoon) - Butterfly. Butterflies in the adult stage can live from 1 week to nearly 1 year. They mate, lay eggs and start a new life cycle.
Every time butterflies gather here, Cuc Phuong National Park welcomes tourists from all over to visit. Photo: Cuong Vu.
Families with children can follow the following schedule to visit: In the morning, arrive at Cuc Phuong to check in, visit wildlife sanctuaries (primates, turtles, carnivores and pangolins), have lunch at the restaurant at the Garden gate. In the afternoon, go to the forest to visit the Ancient People Cave, ancient trees.... In the evening, rest, have dinner, go see fireflies at 7:30 pm...
Day 2, have breakfast then go see the peacock, pheasant, deer, and elk conservation area; visit Cuc Phuong museum, walk to explore the botanical garden... Return in the afternoon.
It takes about 30 days or more for a butterfly to reach adulthood, depending on external factors. The life cycle of a butterfly begins from an egg. Photo: Cuong Vu.
With a relatively complete infrastructure, Cuc Phuong National Park has organized three areas for accommodation, dining and entertainment, which can meet the needs of visitors: the Garden Gate area, Mac Lake area and the central area. Depending on the time and tour program, visitors can choose.
The Garden Gate is the starting point for all activities, building tour programs, booking services such as: Tour guides, night wildlife viewing, kayaking, ethnic cultural programs, bicycles and all information about Cuc Phuong.
From tiny butterflies to giant swallowtail butterflies, each has its own beauty. Photo: Cuong Vu.
