"In the midst of the drug trade"

The People's Police Publishing House introduces to readers the collection of memoirs by writer Nguyen Xuan Thuy, "In the Midst of the Drug Warfare," which tells the story of the life and career of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Vien - former Director of the Department of Criminal Investigation of Drug Crimes (C04), and also contributes a comprehensive perspective on the fight against crime in the age of technology and integration.

The author recounts the cases General Viện handled: from his first case to his trips to Lóng Luông and the Golden Triangle, and the large-scale raids that shocked public opinion, such as tracking down and arresting drug queen Vũ Hoàng Oanh and dismantling Kim Soon Sik's network.
