In his first two Premier League games of 2025/26, Grealish assisted all four of Everton’s goals: two assists in the 2-0 win over Brighton on the opening day of the new stadium, and then had a hand in all three goals in the dramatic 3-2 win over Wolves. This achievement not only helped Everton break away to fifth place in the rankings, but also made Grealish the first player in the club’s history to assist two or more goals in two consecutive Premier League games.

Entering round 4, when Everton prepares to welcome Aston Villa - his old team - Grealish also has the opportunity to set a historical record in the tournament: becoming the first player to assist at least two goals in three consecutive Premier League matches.

That explosive form helped Grealish overcome seven strong candidates to win the Premier League Player of the Month award for August, thanks to a combination of fan votes and expert assessments. This is also the first time in five years, since Dominic Calvert-Lewin in September 2020, that Everton has had a player step up to this podium of honor.
