Khoai Vac Temple, located in Huong Pho commune (formerly Huong Thuy commune, old Huong Khe district), is a place of worship for national heroes and attracts many local people. It is also an important spiritual site, closely associated with the history of the Can Vuong Uprising.
According to Mr. Phan Van Chien (93 years old), who has looked after the temple for over 40 years, the two agarwood trees are sacred "treasures" of the temple, preserved and protected by the local people.
Representatives from the Huong Pho Commune People's Committee also stated that this event marks a milestone in the preservation of natural heritage, while affirming the cultural, historical, and spiritual value of the two agarwood trees to the local community. It is also an opportunity to raise awareness of protecting the natural landscape and contribute to the conservation of biodiversity in the mountains and forests of Ha Tinh.
