"AI's Unlimited Power and Unpredictable Challenges - Policy Impacts and Responses"

That is the theme of the Workshop organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, which will take place on September 15, 2025 at the Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center (VEC), Dong Anh, Hanoi.

Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Day (AI4VN) 2024 took place at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, attracting thousands of visitors.

In the context of artificial intelligence (AI) developing at an extraordinary speed, creating huge opportunities but also posing many unpredictable risks, research, discussion and policy making have become urgent requirements. That is also the goal that the Workshop aims to address and identify AI issues in both the short and long term.

The workshop was chaired by comrades: Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security ; Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Party Central Committee member, Minister of Science and Technology.

The workshop focused on analyzing two major topics: "AI: Power, risks and control" and "National AI development strategy: From vision to action". In which, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung will give an important speech, orienting the national artificial intelligence development strategy, associated with the task of promoting innovation, ensuring security, safety and sustainable development.

The working sessions will have the participation of many leading domestic experts and scientists, leaders of ministries, sectors, technology enterprises, finance - banking, health, agriculture and defense.

This is an important forum to identify opportunities and challenges of AI, thereby proposing policy orientations, development strategies and effective responses, contributing to ensuring security, safety and sustainable development of the country in the era of artificial intelligence.
