Hanoi: Police escort and assist in taking a young child to the hospital for emergency treatment.

During the afternoon rush hour on February 27th, a Hanoi traffic police team used a specialized vehicle to escort and assist a family in safely transporting their young child, who was experiencing breathing difficulties, to the National Children's Hospital for emergency treatment.

The task force, consisting of two officers: Captain Dang Van Truong and Captain Dao Minh Nghia (officers of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6), was tasked with directing traffic and ensuring traffic safety and order at the Xuan Thuy - Pham Van Dong intersection.

At approximately 6 PM, the task force received an urgent request for assistance from passengers in a taxi with license plate 29K-077.05, reporting that their young child was experiencing difficulty breathing and cyanosis, requiring immediate transport to the National Children's Hospital for emergency treatment. Due to the high volume of traffic during rush hour, the family requested assistance from the traffic police.

In response to the emergency, the task force reported to the unit's command; simultaneously, Captain Dao Minh Nghia was assigned to use a specialized motorcycle, with flashing lights and siren, to clear the way for the taxi carrying the child to travel along the fastest route to the Emergency Department of the National Children's Hospital.

Thanks to the timely assistance of the traffic police and the coordinated efforts of checkpoints along the route, the child was safely transported to the hospital and handed over to the emergency department for treatment.

Mr. D.TC (born in 1995, residing in Hanoi ), the child's father, said that his 4-month-old child, D.TM, had been experiencing intermittent breathing difficulties in the past few days. That afternoon, he and his wife took the child to the hospital for emergency treatment.

However, due to the rush hour traffic, transportation was difficult. Fortunately, they encountered traffic police and received timely assistance. On behalf of the family, Mr. C. expressed his gratitude to the traffic police officers for their timely assistance, which helped ensure his child was safely transported to the hospital.

The timely and responsible actions of the task force once again strongly highlight the image of Hanoi's traffic police officers being close to the people and serving the people.
