The Hanoi Department of Transport has requested a temporary halt to road and sidewalk digging work for 20 days, from January 22nd to February 12th, to facilitate public travel during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The Hanoi Department of Transport has requested that investors, project management boards, and construction contractors working on roads and streets in Hanoi strengthen supervision, review construction sites, accelerate construction progress, complete ongoing construction items, and restore and clear the site to ensure traffic safety, environmental hygiene, and urban aesthetics before January 22, 2025.

The units were also requested to temporarily suspend road and sidewalk excavation work in the city from January 22nd to February 12th, except for some projects dealing with unforeseen incidents and key projects licensed by the Hanoi People's Committee and the Department of Transport.
The Hanoi Department of Transport has requested the Hanoi City Police to strengthen coordination and inspection efforts to handle violations by investors, project management boards, and construction contractors that violate the aforementioned regulations.
Inspectors from the Department of Transport, the Infrastructure Maintenance Board, and units responsible for managing, maintaining, and repairing the transportation infrastructure system are tasked with strengthening inspection and strictly handling violations.
